StagePlayer, our first release, started from a problem every MainStage user eventually runs into: Apple's own Playback plugin handles audio, but never MIDI. No native way to sync a lighting cue, trigger a patch change, or automate outboard gear alongside your backing tracks — a gap that's sat unsolved for over a decade of MainStage releases.
 

So we built the plugin that closes it. StagePlayer treats a show's audio and automation as one synchronized whole, running entirely inside the environment performers already trust.
